About Martha Cristina

Martha is a Brooklyn-based designer from Monterrey, Mexico. She dreamed of becoming a jewelry designer since she visited Taxco, a small jewelry town near Mexico City when she was 11 years old. Her parents thought she would eventually change her mind, but the dream stuck.

She draws her inspiration from Mexico’s culture and traditions, her travels, her relationship with God, and the causes that are close to her heart. She sees in jewelry the perfect medium for storytelling, a wearable armor, a memento from a special time and place.

She defines her aesthetic as playful, a mix of asymmetry and balance, where geometry meets bold minimalism.

Martha got a bachelor's in Industrial design from ITESM, finished a jewelry design and manufacturing diploma from CNCI University, and graduated New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology Jewelry Design program in 2011. She holds a master in marketing of luxury goods from Domus Academy.

Martha Cristina has been designing and making jewelry for over 10 years while pursuing a career in luxury marketing, she has worked for brands like Cartier, Moleskine, Piquadro and Maison Kayser, and as luck would have it, she found herself back in the industry she loved and admired in 2019 and thought of it as the perfect moment to launch her namesake brand.

When not designing, you can find her traveling, singing and dancing with her boyfriend or looking for the best tacos in New York.

Martha Cristina is inspiring jewelry designed to bring joy, empower humans and spark connection.

Every collection is connected to a cause Martha cares deeply about and 11% of the profit gets donated.
